MY CHOICE OF TEXT BOOKS FOR II-1

Biochemistry : Ideally Lehninger; Nelson and Cox is a good choice. You can find the ED Pathway (if u have in ur syllabus) in Microbiology by Prescott, Harley and Klein.

Biochemical Thermodynamics : A Text Book of Chemical engineering Thermodynamics is good for most of the Units. For Unit II Shule and Kargi or Bailey & Ollis is a good choice. I prefer Bailey to Shule and Kargi. But it may take more time and effort.

Cell Biology: The Cell by Cooper is good for most of the units. For Cell Differentiation Cell and Molecular Biology by DeRobertis & DeRobertis is Ok.

Mathematics II : I dont Know any thing about this subject.

Genetics : Saras is Ok to have initial idea for M.P.C students. TO go deep into the subject you can read the other prescribed text books like Principles of Genetics by Gerdener, Genetics by Strickberger.

Microbiology : Pelczar and Prescott are good text books for this subject.

Im Just providing the text books that give you the basics of the subject. they may not cover each and every topic in the syllabus. You may have to search in the internet or other books; mostly i will post them in my blog itself. If you dont get them in my Blog you search in the other alternatives.
