Transport Phenomena in Bioprocess : The present syllabus is very much diferent from what we had inours. Our batch is the first to have this subject. Any way coming to the text books, i think Unit Operations of Chemical Engineering by Mc Cabe, W.L.Smith J.C., and Harriot,P., and Biopreocess Enguneering Principles by P.M Doran will make a good choice.

Biochemical reaction Engineering :
Unit I - Octave Livenspial;
Unit II - I think the topics are general and you can get good enough material from the text books that u have read by 3-1. Any way for the specific topic on sterilization Stanbury is good;
Unit IV - I think for the initail topics shule and Kargi is good. I dont have an idea of the later topics i.e from online data analysis........;
Unit V - Again Livenspial
Unit VI , VII, VIII - Bailey and Ollis.

Basic Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology :
For first 4 Units read Industrial microbiology by A.H.Patel.
In Unit 5 for specific topics im providing the links Nisin, Xanthan Gum, PHB. High Fructose Corn Syrup can be read from Bailey Ollis. You can find other topics from other books or from net.
I dont remember the text book for the Environment part. But you can get godd material from any standard book in your library. But for the 6th unit refer to Environmental biotechnology by S.N.Jogdand.

Genetic Engineering : We followed T.A Brown for this subject. This alone will not be sufficient to cover the entire 8 units but its a good text book o have.

Plant Biotechnology : Introduction to Plant Biotechnology by Chawla is a good text book to read for this subject.

MEFA : IO think i need not give an advice in this subject. You can find it out.

Im Just providing the text books that give you the basics of the subject. they may not cover each and every topic in the syllabus. You may have to search in the internet or other books; mostly i will post them in my blog itself. If you dont get them in my Blog you search in the other alternatives.

what is mini project???and where we have to go 4 dat projects??what type of topic should we choose??plz help me out...

@devi..

first of all dont worry about mini project..mini project is a part of your course, you get marks for that...you can do it any where like biotech/pharma/private dissertation istitutes or just buy it..

i just googled some topic on net, arranged in a order , created a certificate of my own and submitted it..no one ever looks into your mini project..all most all my classmates senious every one does the same..

trust me dont waste your time and money on that mini project...

coming to major project...
same applies for this...but it depends on you..if you want to learn some techniques then join in a good insti or company learn all the techniques possible...meanwhile do your major project..dont give tooo much priority to your major project,at the end of the day all you'll be asked is viva..if you are good givin viva then no doubt u'll get good marks..project external examiner will dont even give you 5 min times to present your project...

when you come to 4th yr then you'll automatically understand all this...

ohk...and i need some more help in preparation...i wrote well and i dint expect that i will be having backlogs...very few people have them...i tried so much but still am unable to overcome these backlogs...can u plz help out by saying some suggestions how to prepare and how to score good marks..now i dont even have 55%..am trying but every time am unable to succeed to get 70%..

Anonymous said...

huh, that happens in biotech , even i dont have 55% , as we dont have all in one's or proper text books it is hard to score more marks..collect the material as much as u can , study every single bit , more important always draw diagrams no matter what subject you are writing , diagrams are must...
and write 35 pages of your answer script ...

most important ; DONT WRITE STORIES
jntu is tightening the rules , this year the correction is damn tough for final years ..so dont write stories..

or just follow the students who score 70% and more..all u'll find is material collection , day to day reading , showing interest , drawing diagrams , etc etc ..

nothimg comes without hardwork..
