Slumdog Millionaire Nominated for Best Film

Hey, i think you have heard of the film Slumdog Millionaire. Its written by Simon Beaufoy & directed by a British director Danny Boyle. Most Importantly the Film was shot in India, with a British Indian playing the main role in the film and the music was given by the maestro A.R.Rehman.

It has already won some awards. It won a few awards from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association - Best Music for A.R.Rehman, Best Director for DAnn Boyle. It has also won the Best Picture Award from Boston Society of Film Critics along with the film WALL.E and also bagged the Best Editing Prize. It has also bagged an award from the National Society of Film Critics for Best Cinematography.

Apart from this its nominated for many prestegious awards. The film a bagged the nominations for 'Outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role' (for Dev Patel) and 'Outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture' from the Screen Actros Guild Awards.
The film was nominated for the best film and best director awards from the Vancouver Film Critics Circle.

And now it has won the Nomination for the Best Film Award from PGA (Producers Guild of America). In the past 12 films which have won the PGA awards have also won the Oscar Awards. Some other films in race for the award along with Slumdog Millionaire include 'The curious case of Benzamin Button', 'Dark Knight', 'Milk'.
